Quality and sustainability are our hallmarks

In our sustainable approach to craftsmanship, we exclusively use pure gold and silver that conform with Directive 2011/65/EU and do not contain restricted substances such as lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium (chromium (VI) or chromium 6), polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs). As a company that explores all avenues, in addition to sophisticated silver-plated and gold-plated products, for some years now we’ve been manufacturing items made from 100% recyclable PMMA.

In addition, we have an all-embracing sustainability policy, have selected a 100% green energy provider and use product packaging made from 100% recyclable cardboard.
We’ve earned the trust of our customers over the last 51 years due to our scrupulous, constant commitment to extremely high quality and environmental standards every single day.

guaranteed excellence

Our certifications

We only use Italian alloys, which are subject to very strict rules and regulations. They must have all of the necessary EU certifications for food contact materials. In addition, guaranteed batch tracking systems are in place.

Materials

To make our high quality products, we select Italian raw materials that satisfy conformity requirements and can ensure flawless functioning and a long lifespan. We stamp every item, so customers can be certain that they’re buying original Miotto products.

Brass

Our products are made of brass sheet that is pressed or turned and then polished by hand to a mirror finish, before being gold or silver plated. The next stage is electroplating. The objects are coated with nickel and then a thick coat of either pure silver or pure 24k gold is added. Using their vast expertise, our artisans give our products a mirror finish. A technique called passivation is employed to cover silver-plated items with a special film that delays oxidation of the metal.

Stainless Steel

The steel that we use (AISI type 304 stainless steel) is a genuine alloy that’s also known as a superalloy. It contains high percentages of alloying elements and features substantial corrosion resistance, especially when it’s exposed to water or moisture in air. Its corrosion resistance means that it always has a bright, shiny finish. A little routine care and cleaning is required to preserve the aesthetic appeal and corrosion resistance of our stainless steel products.

PMMA

We use two types of plexiglass processing procedures: a laser-based image reproduction method and a fabric insertion technique. With plexiglass, we achieve a 100% level of transparency, while our invisible gluing system produces seamless results that enhance and add aesthetic appeal to all items. We use the plexiglass to create products for fine dining with exceptional shock, moisture and chemical resistance.
